The NYSCC operates under the direction of a Steering Committee with three Standing Committees that provide the Consortium's infrastructure: Communications, Evaluation and Membership.

Based upon priorities identified by the NYSCC Steering Committee and influenced by advisory groups, additional Committees are created. These priority committees, currently including Palliative Care, Clinical Trials and Workforce Shortages, will be active for at least one year. Adhoc committees with shorter time frames may also be formed to address certain issues throughout the year.

Members represent organizations and individuals, including survivors, caregivers and others affected by cancer, and support the Mission and Vision of NYSCC and the New York State Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. Committee membership reflects the cultural, demographic and geographic diversity of New York State.
